Since the inception of Hagen District Sports Association, we have come with number of objectives to address the lack of sporting management and other social issues affecting our youth today. 

The objectives are outlined as follow:

• To improve the sports condition of the Hagen District youths starting from Council Wards to the Local level Government (LLG)as well as the Settlements within the city and other communities of the district and province as a whole.
• To giving opportunity to all youths in the Hagen District to discover their true potential in various code of sports.  Also to identify their potential and start developing them to the next level to represent their province and country.
• To help and support the district codes to acquire more efficient management skills in sports, better equipment for training and development, forming proper and adequate associations with respective codes.
• To assist youths to objectively focus on the needs and benefits of sports to deter from drugs and alcohol and other negative social issues in the district and the province.
• Using sports as a developing tool to address cross cutting issues like HIV/AIDS, DRUGS, Tribal Fights and Violence.
• To providing improved varieties of sports.
• To encourage young women and girls into playing sports and provide safe and secure sporting venues.
• To partner with the Government and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in the campaign in relation to promoting sports.
